Play Therapy

Is your child acting out or struggling and is nothing helping? Sometimes kids have big feelings and as a parent, you want to do everything you can to help them. Therapy can help kids learn how to handle these feelings in an interactive way. Children's primary language is play and with play, I can help your child learn about their feelings, learn how to handle them better, and learn how to communicate them in a healthy way.

Alyssa is a Certified Synergetic Play Therapist, and a Registered Play Therapy Supervisor. Synergetic Play Therapy™(SPT) is the first research-informed play therapy model to blend together neuroscience, attachment/attunement, therapist authenticity, physics, emotional congruence, nervous system regulation, and mindfulness/mindsight. Using this model, your child will learn more about their emotional responses and learn new and healthy ways of expressing their emotions.

Parent Support

Parenting a child who is acting out, or struggling with their feelings can be exhausting! We will always invite you to take part in your child's therapy; however it is also possible to take it one step further and blend in parent sessions and parent/child sessions. These sessions can help you gain a deeper understanding of what's going on emotionally with your child and together we can discuss ways that will work for you to handle those tough behaviors.

Individual Therapy for Adolescents

Is your teen struggling with stress and are you ready to do something about it? Have you exhausted your list of things to try, and nothing is working anyways? Life is too hard to go at it alone. We are here to join in your journey with your teen and help you find a way to figure things out so you can all feel healthy again.

Play Therapy Supervision

Are you a therapist looking for specialized supervision to increase your skills with play therapy, or work towards your RPT? As a Registered Play Therapist-Supervisor, Alyssa is available to help you find your way. She will help you work towards your goals of developing as a play therapist, following play therapy ethical guidelines, finding your style, fine tuning interventions, and building your practice skills.
